The Peregrine Fund (the “Company”, “we” and “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) outlines our privacy practices with respect to our Global Raptor Impact Network (“GRIN”).
The Company maintains a number of services to provide access to GRIN, including a mobile application (the ”Application”) and the GRIN website (the “Website”, together with the Application, the “Services”). This Policy applies to information that we collect through our Services and, together with the Application end user license agreement (the “EULA”) and the Website terms of use (the “Terms of use”), as applicable, govern our collection of personal information on the Services.

Use of Personal Information
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- Submitted Information: The information you send us when you register will be used to distinguish you, your surveys and your records from other users. It will also help us build a database of people who are interested and concerned about raptors and who have expertise on certain aspects of their biology or conservation. Additionally, this personal information will be used to identify your submissions of raptor observations and other related information, so that we can verify such information and/or provide attribution as outlined in our Terms of Use or EULA, as applicable.
- Additional information: We will use this information for the purposes of supplying the Services and to improve the Services.
- Device information: We will analyze which observers are using which devices to ensure that we are able to keep the Application up to date for a majority of devices and operating systems.

In order to monitor changes in raptor numbers over time and across regions, we need to know where you have gone, how far you have travelled across the different habitats and how much time you have spent looking for raptors across these habitats. This data all adds up to provide us with an estimate of ‘observer effort’. Your location data will not be shared with other users, although sightings and observations, including the locations of such observations, may be shared without identifying you.
- Log information: for Google Analytics.
- Unique application numbers: for Google Analytics and for the purposes of improving the Services.
